Since 1928, our family has grown bold, single-origin Robusta in the misty hills of Karnataka - four generations, one hillside.
Heritage
From a bullock cart in 1909 to your kitchen today - the same family, the same land, refined over a hundred years.
1909
P. Kunhikannan begins trading spices across Coorg, hauling pepper and cardamom on bullock carts through the Western Ghats to Kerala's markets.
1928
After two decades of trading, Kunhikannan buys a 200-acre estate in Perumbubetta, Pollibetta - the land that still grows our coffee today.
1956
Shanta Picture Palace opens in Virajpet - the first permanent movie theatre in the district. Coffee, community, cinema.
1985
C.P. Prakash, the youngest of six sons, formally establishes Vaishnavi Estate as we know it today - a working plantation rooted in family.
2020
Through the pandemic, the next generation begins shipping our coffee straight from the estate to homes across India. No middlemen, just us.

Our coffee grows under silver oak and native canopy - slower ripening, deeper flavor, healthier soil.
Cherries are picked one by one, only at peak ripeness, by the same families who've worked this land for generations.
We dry our cherries under the Coorg sun - zero water in processing, even during the rains.
Roasted on world-leading Probat machines, profile by profile, batch by batch - never compromised.
Whole beans rest until your order arrives - only then do we grind, pack, and ship. Fresh, every time.
Sustainability
Because it does. Our great-grandfather planted on this hillside in 1928 - and our grandchildren will pick from the same trees.
Robusta is naturally hardy - we use a fraction of what other varieties demand.
Natural dry processing means zero water used to pulp our beans.
Shade-grown under native canopy. Home to birds, civets, and giant squirrels.
Hired, trained and supported from villages around the estate - for generations.
